Brenda B. Chavis received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Spelman College. She has thirty-three successful years of experience in project management, writing and research specialist, leadership, public relations, customer service, administration and sales. She is proficient in multi-tasking while achieving optimum results on projects and has proven ability in developing and implementing successful team member strategies and is adept at building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Through her services with the Atlanta Public School system, the commercial airlines and beauty industries, a major Atlanta newspaper, and previously owned businesses, Brenda has demonstrated her professional skills in leadership and communication, team building, performance management, conflict management and problem solving. She is affectionately referred to as the modern day Mother Teresa because of her endless patience and spirit of hospitality.
Brenda supports the Director by assisting in the operation and administration of the organization on a daily basis and by overseeing the research, writing and design team, marketing, promotion, delivery, event planning, and quality of programs, products and services. She ensures the integrity of the programs and the operation of the day-to-day activities in research, writing, marketing and branding departments. Brenda is a certified Christian Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors, and will receive her Masters in Professional Counseling, June 2017.
